New home away from home...

So a few months ago, when my lease from the flat I had been living in for the past 3 years was coming to an end, it was time to start searching for a new place that I could call 'my home away from home'. It was indeed a big struggle, but after much debate and thoughts on how this year would play out, I decided to find a place with my sister and boyfriend.

I know, you must be thinking, 'crazy woman', but even though I had my thoughts of how ugly it could get, I decided that as much as I was doubting if it was a good idea, my main instinct was that it was a great idea :) I've had to deal with messy, unhygienic and noisy flatmates in the past and must say, having my sister and boyfriend around would be a sigh of relief. There's to be no awkwardness in having to confront them about irritations or situations that I should not have to tell them what to do and what not to do, as I had to with my previous flatmates. (Its a lot easier to be honest and to the point with a person you are close to).

My sister and I have always had a good understanding and know each other well enough to know when to do or say something or not to do or say something. We get each other :) Likewise with my boyfriend, he understands me an I understand him, so I can pretty much say I see it as a win-win situation :) These are also people very close to my heart, the people I want to have in my life as often as I can... Of course I realise that it may not be all sunshine and roses at all times, as we all have our days... but that's just us being human...

The view I wake up to every morning, stunning!

It's only been 4 official days of us living together in our new place, but so far so good :) and I must add, the view is amazing and I love Cape Town (we all do), so I'm in a happy place... Although I miss spending the good quality time with my mom in the week, I always have weekends to break away from 'my home away from home' and go back to my 'home, sweet home'  :)
