So ever since we were little, we were constantly asked the question: "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I grew up on a farm and this answer changed throughout the years. We had two maids who used to clean and look after my sister and I. I used to watch how they clean and always be eager to help. I was convinced that I wanted to be a cleaning lady when I grew up. One day I asked Sophie if I could help her with the ironing. She warned me that I would burn, but begged her until she said yes... Finally I got the chance and guess what happened? I burnt my arm... (That was the end of that dream job).
I took ballet from the age of 4, and then decided that I wanted to be a ballerina when I grew up. However, after many many years of fighting with my mom because of the itchy stocking and jerseys we were required to wear in winter, I decided that I had enough of being itchy and changed my views of that job...
I went through many other options such as wanting to be an artist, a vet, a chef, an event planner and a variety of other jobs. However, as time passed and I needed to decide on my future, I decided to invest in the public relations profession... This is not my dream job, that much I have realised, but I do not regret the past 3/ almost 4 years. I have learnt a lot and believe one can never have enough knowledge about anything...
I still have dream jobs and dreams that I know I will succeed in one day. A few of my dreams include: owning my own restaurant/ deli, owning the best bakery in town, having my own event company, and having my own fashion label where I design clothes, shoes and handbags... Each day brings new dreams. I want to travel the world before I settle down in one place and live life and all the experiences that go with it. I believe we should all have dreams, that's what keeps us going and motivated to succeed in life!
